Forecast Areas
The Mountain Weather Information service produces the following 8 forecasts. A major revision for each area is released at roughly 4:30pm, with updates to the forecasts being made whenever necessary during the day.
All forecasts are produced 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
Each forecast can be read on the website, accessed by mobile phone and is also downloadable as a pdf file and is for today and the following 2 days .....

Western Highlands accessible from, and North of, Glenfinnan (Road to the Isles) and Glen Spean. This area does not include Mull and areas west of Loch Linnhe, these are found in the West Highlands forecast
Western Highlands accessible from, and south of, Glenfinnan (Road to the Isles) and Glen Spean (includes Creag Meagaidh). This area include Ben Nevis and the mountains around Glencoe. In the east, includes Ben Alder south to Loch Lomond and Trossachs NP. Includes Arran and Mull.
Cairngorms National Park and Monadhliath
Also includes the Ben Alder area hills between Loch Ericht and Loch Laggan.
Hills accessed from Callander, Loch Tay and Loch Rannoch areas. Areas east of Loch Ericht, and south of Dalwhinnie, upper Glen Feshie and the River Dee (includes southernmost Cairngorm NP).
The Galloway hills eastward to the Lammermuir hills. The Cheviots (including higher hills within the adjacent Northumberland NP).
Includes the whole of Cumbria, and also the western Pennines North from Ingleborough.
The Snowdonia National Park.
Peak District and Yorkshire Dales
The Peak district and Yorkshire Dales National Parks and the area immediately between them.
