A few showers will extend inland from the west coast through the day.

Cloud on the hills?


Cloud will be fairly extensive across the fells during the day with the lowest bases across southern and western fells. Best of any breaks towards summits will be across the North Pennines.

Occasional glimpses of sun in the east. Visibility generally good outside showers and hill fog.

All mountain areas of Britain from Friday 25th August 2017

On Sunday, light winds and largely dry across many mountain areas will cloud lifting to higher slopes. However, showers will give way to more frequent rain across western Scotland where hill fog will be extensive. Westerly winds will become re-established into next week with further periods of rain and low cloud; especially across the west and northwest Highlands.
