Planning Outlook

All mountain areas of Britain from Sunday 21st April 2019

SE winds return for the start of next week bringing largely dry, warm and fairly sunny conditions to many once again; most widely in the northwest where it will become very warm in the glens/valleys. However, increasingly through the week the atmosphere will become more unstable bringing an increasing risk of heavy showers. Initially these will be mainly confined to Wales, but from midweek increasingly these heavy, locally thundery, showers will spread north N England and Scotland introducing fresher conditions. By next weekend, a cooler, cyclonic southwesterly pattern is likely to become established. The ground remains very dry underfoot - beware of grass fires.
