Planning Outlook for all mountain areas from Sunday, 26th May, 2013

Generally chilly over the coming week, with the freezing level remaining intermittently just below highest summits. Overall showery, although around Monday a belt of more persistent rain will affect most mountain areas, with north and northwest Scotland probably having least rainfall. Fresh snow will intermittently fall on higher Scottish summits. Upland gales likely for a while on Monday - mainly Scotland, after much lighter winds on Sunday, and before a further few days of lighter winds. Cloud base will rise above most summits away from showers, and visibility then often excellent.
