Planning Outlook

All mountain areas of Britain from Thursday 23rd May 2019

A slack pressure pattern continues, with low pressure centred toward the northeast. Rather cool across northern Scotland for the rest of this week. Many places largely dry with just local brief showers or patches of drizzly rain. Mixed conditions prevail into the Bank Holiday weekend and beyond, with fairly low pressure in charge, but weather systems still moving around slowly. Expect rain from time to time, plus some heavy showers, in places giving rain for several hours. Cloud often shrouding higher terrain during or after rain. Temperatures around average for late May.
